Curious if the piano is right instrument for you?

Playing the piano offers a wide range of benefits that go beyond just creating beautiful music. Whether you’re looking for personal enjoyment, cognitive stimulation, or a way to share your love of music, the piano offers endless possibilities for growth and joy.

Why Piano?

Whether you are looking for a new hobby or passion, wanting to begin a lifelong study of music, or simply curious the piano is the instrument on which every musician should begin. A foundational knowledge of piano is paramount to the serious music student and a great method of self-care for the casual artist.

Who should play the piano?

The short answer is ANYONE! You can begin your studies on the piano at any age and any stage of music education. Whether you’re a long-time musician or just beginning the piano will be a wonderful addition to your musical education.

What will my lesson look like?

Each of my students will begin their music education by learning rhythm through movement and body percussion, developing their listening through ear training and imitation, and of course, exploring the wonders of the piano.

When will I be able to play a song?

Every lesson will be spent developing your knowledge of the piano and how to read music but the rest depends on you. The piano requires practice and like everything we do, the more we practice, the better we become. Your success is entirely in your hands. I provide a detailed routine for your practice sessions and recommend the beginning pianist practice at least 15-minutes every day.
